Thumbs up What do the terms "alt" and "alt abuse" actually mean?

Spinpunch has never properly defined the term "alt" no different that the term "alt abuse".

A few days ago Spinpunch said an alt is every account that originates from the same IP.

Then they said it has to do with more than 1 account originating from the same computer on the same IP.

Now Spinpunch is saying that an alt is when 2 accounts are logged in the same computer on the same IP at the same time.

As to "alt abuse", that ever-shifting concept has never been clearly defined either.

WHAT DO THESE TERMS MEAN? CAN SPINPUNCH DEFINE THEM?

Meanwhile, the explosion of fake accounts from the Third World countries of Indonesia, Philippines, Russia and Canada have one thing in common: they use IP switchers, IP tunnels, IP proxies and every way possible to disguise their real IP address. That's what hackers and scammers do.

While Spinpunch is taking action against REAL accounts who might use the same IP network, they are ignoring entirely the fake accounts used by the cheaters, hackers, scammers and virus-spreaders from the International (Third World) regions.

Hmmm. Maybe Spinpunch should have figured this out BEFORE opening the floodgates to the English-speaking regions.

    Hi WFShaw,

I'm very sorry to be hearing about some of your frustrations here. I can understand how the lack of clarity surrounding some of these definitions can be quite frustrating.

According to our "Multiple Account ("Alt" account)" policy (found here: https://spinpunch.zendesk.com/entrie...ccount-policy-), an alt account is defined when two accounts, playing in the same regional map of a SpinPunch game have simultaneous logins from the same IP address. The new regions (Map 200 and 201) strictly prohibit this use of such alts, and proceeding to simultaneously play with alts in these regions could be classified as "Alt Abuse".

I can assure you that the team has appropriate systems in place to be able to properly detect the presence of such alts, and are actively issuing warnings to those who are abusing the new policies. If you have evidence of ALT Abuse occurring, and notice after some time that action isn't being taken, you're always more than welcome to submit evidence to our Customer Support team by clicking on the "Contact Support" link at the bottom of your game.

    Thanks!

Stuart is only one of Nolan's alts. Good that the moderators are editing his troll nonsense.
