NEW: TOC Weapons for lower level TOCsNovember 11th (added to tracker)Yes, but not immediately. The armed TOC is meant to be exclusive to the highest level players for a while, but the requirements will be lowered later. Expect TOC11 to be able to deploy them in early 2020. Other lower TOC levels should expect to see it as well, but the timeline is not set.
NEW: Let players upgrade barriers while their builder is busy with another building upgradeNovember 11th (added to tracker)This will be tackled in the next round of UI improvements, sometime after the L5 Sec Team release.
NEW: Give players an option in settings to turn off the “screen shake” effectsNovember 11th (added to tracker)This will be tackled in the next round of UI improvements, sometime after the L5 Sec Team release.
UPDATED: Base Design / Layout Mode (and the ability to save/store unit patrol loadouts)November 11th (updated details within “In the Pipeline / Being Worked On”)It’s planned, but we don’t have any ETA yet. It’s still in the concept phase at the time of this update.
UPDATED: Cosmetic placeable sprites for player basesNovember 11th (moved from “Need More Player Feedback” to “In the Pipeline / Being Worked On”)We have decided that we will do cosmetic TOC flags (clan, country, and more) at a future date. Other cosmetic items will need more consideration/time. No ETA at this time.
UPDATED: New Unit – MinesweeperNovember 11th (moved from “Need More Player Feedback” to “In the Pipeline / Being Worked On”)Thanks to all the good player feedback on Discord, we have an idea for how to implement a “minesweeper” feature, but it’s currently lower on the priority stack with no ETA.
Show building unlock pre-requisites in the ONP store before a player buys a particular blueprintNovember 4th (added to tracker)There are several store changes in the works. We should have an update by mid-December, unless it gets implemented before then. Watch for unit blueprints to change first, then the equipment section, but other sections will get some love.
Expand the clan help system to also work for unit upgradesNovember 4th (added to tracker)Helping on unit and weapon research is a good idea. We’ll look into this when we get a chance, but we can’t provide an ETA.
Change Discord links to point to the “general” channel instead of “suggestions”November 4th (added to tracker)We’re in the process of hooking up Discord links all over BH.com, and in the footers of their respective games to take players directly to their proper game channels. Stay tuned!
Start re-enabling Legacy achievements (and other event related “Legacy” achievements that are still showing in the “Rivals” category)October 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)It’s in the works. Quick poll: Poacher first, or Virus first? Let us know over on Discord!
Add unit’s secondary weapon DPS, range, and splash damage to their respective “hover tool tips”October 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)Yes. The entire weapon/stat display system will be getting an overhaul, but this will not be soon.
Buff or re-purpose underpowered non-elite / non-blueprint units (IE, Bradley, Abrams)October 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)Yes, as part of the tier rebalancing project. No ETA, but there’s not too much ahead of it. It may not be exactly what you expect though!
UI Improvement – better display upgrade/research prerequisites for blueprints prior to players buying them in the ONP/Hardware storesOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)UI improvements are in progress. Like the unit stats, this will take some grunt work. This has been added to the UI task list, but is behind a lot of other items and will take a while.
Let players buy turret blueprints beyond the next available upgrade levelOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)We will either be implementing this, something similar to this, or testing more than one implementation in different games. Stay tuned.
New “airplane” unit types (IE, F-22 Raptor, Reaper Drone)October 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Yes, we’re working on something like this.
The first version will
get a future dev blog
entry.
Security Team Leader upgrade catch-up mechanicsOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Yes, we’re working on it, ETA is January 2020.
Add a “Don’t show this again.” checkbox on the “Withdraw from battle” dialogue promptOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Yes, we’re working on it. No ETA, but it will be during a UI/QoL sweep after the tutorial overhaul is done.
Add a “Don’t show this again.” checkbox on the “Base Defenders Need Repair” dialogue promptOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Yes, we’re working on it. No ETA, but it will be during a UI/QoL sweep after the tutorial overhaul is done.
Enable build/research boost items the ability to also boost building upgrades that are already in progressOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Yes. This is going to take some work, so we have no ETA, but we do need to handle this and cases where we release a patch with shorter research or build times.
Slow down on releasing the new top tier contentOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Yes, after the TOC12 patch (and it’s sub-patches), we’ll be slowing down a bit to work on some UI and quality of life changes

In Developer Discussion

Issue / SuggestionDate UpdatedStatus / Battlehouse Response
NEW: New Unit – Elite M2 BradleyNovember 11th (added to tracker)We don’t see why we won’t do it eventually, but for now we’re mostly doing system improvements and quality of life patches while the TOC12 content unlocks. Dev team will discuss and revisit later.
Giftable base relocation itemsNovember 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)We’re looking into how difficult this would be to implement. We’ll update soon. Bug us if you don’t hear anything by December.
Buff the Elite T90November 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)We will be boosting another vehicle unit in late November. We’ll base our decision on usage statistics, but given the suggestion we’ll take a close look at this one.
Add another “base expansion” tierNovember 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)Regarding home base space, Nirgal has added (but not activated) another base size upgrade, but that just gives players more room to deploy defenses. For a full on base expansion: there are some technical limitations to this right now that the team is discussing work-arounds for internally.
Bring back “Hardware Quarries”November 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)We like this idea, and are discussing the balance logistics internally.
Display stats in-game for units at all levels so players can make more educated upgrade choicesOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)We are discussing this internally.
Increase the max stack limits on consumable itemsOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Maybe, we’re discussing it internally and/or working out
the details.
Official wiki that provides updated stats and specs for all buildings / units / durables / eventsOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Maybe, we’re discussing it internally and/or working out the details.
Enable a player’s battalions the ability to pass through their own battalionsOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Maybe, we’re discussing it internally and/or working out the details.
More variety in the different types of gold offers available to SuperfansOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Maybe, we’re discussing it internally and/or working out the details.
More ONP Store OrganizationOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)We need to finish an analysis that we’re running on another game title first.
Improve Unit AI – Make units attack whatever is attacking them first before attacking anything elseOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Not soon, but there are several AI changes we need to make. We’ll have to revisit this later.
Buff the Elite BDRMOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)We will be boosting another vehicle unit in late November. We’ll base our decision on usage statistics, but given the suggestion we’ll take a close look at this one.

Need More Player Feedback

Issue / SuggestionDate UpdatedStatus / Battlehouse Response
NEW: Increase the base resource value of all resource clan giftsNovember 11th (added to tracker)We’re open to this, but it’s not high priority right now. Are there others out there that feel there is a strong need for this? Weigh in on Discord and we may increase the priority down the road.
NEW: An in-game “notepad” where players can record and access notesNovember 11th (added to tracker)Weigh in: are there others out there that feel there is a strong need for this? Our feeling currently is that since it’s a browser game, it should be pretty easy just to tab over to Google Docs instead.
NEW: Add a scrambler AKA “Fear” weapon to the game (weapon that disrupts pathing waypoints for units)November 11th (added to tracker)How would you guys feel if we tested the waters with a new “sonic mine” that disrupts enemy pathing?
Create special Holiday themed events/activities (Halloween, Christmas, etc.)October 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)We’re open to ideas here. Would you enjoy an invasion of AI enemies from other games?
Randomize the ordering of buttons on the regional map battalion control pop-up (more auto-clicker nerfing)October 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)We’d like more feedback from the community on this. A lot of the complaints we receive are about the UI already being non-standard. We could do this, but would the nuisance be too much for the average player? Weigh in.
When the system detects alts in an anti-alt map, relocate both accounts instead of just oneOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)What advantages to the game do you believe this will bring? Please share some reasons on Discord with us for why this is a good idea, and we’ll revisit it.
TR Mobile App Port
(or Companion App)
October 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)No for now, but we’re
not saying no forever. Bug us again in a few months.
Let players trade in more store items for ONP / HardwareOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)No for now, but we’re
not saying no forever. Bug us again in a few months.

Add Splash Damage values to all units in Thunder Run Wiki
October 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)We don’t control the Gamepedia wiki, so we’re not going to devote a lot of dev time to this, but we have wiki-formatted text that includes splash damage if anyone wants to edit the wiki
Add more “unit research boost” items into the gameOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)Maybe, but we want more player feedback. Let us know what you think, and maybe provide some more details.

Can’t Add To The Game Right Now

Issue / SuggestionDate UpdatedStatus / Battlehouse Response
NEW: Add 2x more ambush points / do-away with the “choose your strategy” mechanicsNovember 11th, 2019 (added to tracker)The current number of available Ambush Points is by design. We want you to make a choice on which to deploy. When we wrap up some other projects, security nodes and ambush points will both be getting a crafting system similar to landmines. The existing items will get refunded and you’ll be able to swap them out with crafting.
NEW: Mobile App Port or Companion AppNovember 11th, 2019 (added to tracker)Developing a mobile app would require that we decrease development time on weekly updates. Since the game was designed for and works best for desktop browsers, we’d rather put our development efforts into making the best player experience possible for those who already enjoy the game on it’s current platform. Assuming we made a bare bones companion app though, what features specifically would you guys find useful (resource collection, batt management, etc.)?
NEW: Only allow a player’s “Main” account to enter anti-alt mapsNovember 11th, 2019 (added to tracker)We do not decide which account is an alt and which account is a main. One account gets to go on the non-alt map. The player decides which account is their main account and can change main accounts any time they wish.
NEW: Make a player’s list of “known alts” publicly availableNovember 11th, 2019 (added to tracker)We do not share private information about players publicly. Aside from the ethical issues, it’s illegal in many countries if not all of them.
NEW: Decrease training time for Elite AH-64November 11th, 2019 (added to tracker)No, the Elite AH-64 is one of the most powerful and popular units in the game now, and it’s already unusually cheap ONP-wise for its power level. We’re going to leave the research and training time as it is for now.
NEW: Unit skins / color picker options for units (cosmetic only)November 11th, 2019 (added to tracker)Not at this time, and no likely long term due to the high impact on our art system. This would also further fuel a current issue of making some elite units harder to distinguish from the normal ones.
Add new landscapes to the perimeter of player bases that reflect the different regional map biomes (desert, grassland, mountain, ocean)November 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)While it’s a really cool idea, it unfortunately takes quite a bit of art finesse to knock one of these out, let alone 4 of them. We won’t have the art budget to spare anytime in the foreseeable future.
Deprecate old player “Player Manual” link on BH.com to the “Wiki”November 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)We can’t link to the wiki from BH.com as it’s not an official BH product, and anyone can make edits. However, we are discussing internally the possibility of transitioning to an official BH.com Wiki, but we don’t have an ETA.
Integrate Night/Day cycles that change the in-game lightingNovember 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)Nirgal experimented with adding some fog of war effects to the engine last year, but the engine doesn’t support it and his hack was “ugly as sin” (his own words), so he dropped the project. Adding a full day/night cycle and a non-ugly fog of war feature will be extremely labor intensive and isn’t in the foreseeable future.
Increase cooldowns on 28 day shieldsNovember 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)No. This is one of the things that pays the bills. Sorry!
Add “Hardware Yard” buildingsNovember 4th, 2019 (added to tracker)We are not planning on implementing a hardware yard. Hardware is meant to be a semi-precious resource that can only be acquired through battle or (in some cases) quests. I have added Hardware as a prize for one daily quest and plan to expand that a bit. I also plan to add a daily Hardware Logistics Dispatch. Hardware prices are also going to be adjusted downwards for lower level content, but will probably stay high for the highest level content.
Bring back the old “Thunderdome” mapOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)No, because Thunderdome was exploit central. But we do have another idea to discuss in a future blog post. Assuming we did a Thunderdome that had slightly tweaked rules, what kinds of rules or features would you guys like to see on the map?
Create new unique map designs (more terrain, islands, land bridges, etc.)October 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)We want to this someday, but editing the format of a regional map is an extremely tedious and time consuming task that we just can’t justify right now. Maybe later!
Let players building a 2nd “underground” baseOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)Cool idea, but this is not going to be viable any time soon.
Let players issue commands to their battalions while they’re in battleOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)No, we will not be doing this. Players engaged in an attack already have a huge advantage over an AI-controlled defender. Letting them “batt fight” while also stomping on a batt they caught is not going to work out.
In-game private message systemOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)We don’t feel there is a need to add this functionality in-game since Facebook Messenger and Discord already serve as viable methods for private messaging. We also don’t have the resources currently to reliably police another channel of in-game chat. Join us on Discord instead!
Separate “warehouse” building to store leaders (IE, store in Leader Barracks?)October 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)No, we will not be doing this. It would require a major overhaul of the way both the server and browser client track inventory. We have implemented tabs on the warehouse to make it easier to find things, and we have increased the number of inventory slots multiple times, and have made warehouse upgrades cheaper. We are also making alternative upgrade paths for the leaders.
Add either a special map or a Community channel to memorialize players who have passed away in real lifeOctober 24th, 2019 (added to tracker)While a very nice idea, the dev time to add a memorial map would be significant. No for now, but we will give this some thought and see if we can come up with a workable idea. Suggest this again in the future, or make similar suggestions
Give players the x4 battle speed up ability for free in addition to the current x2October 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)No. This would break a lot of things. In fact, thanks for bringing it up, we’re removing a x4 speed-up boost item from the game and giving away Hardware to anyone who has it.
Bring back Range Boost once per weekOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)We’re not going to do that because it is overpowered to give away to everyone every week, but we will make it a prize in an upcoming event. Stay tuned!
“Change Weapon” automatically after turret tech is upgradedOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)No. We do this with mines because they are disposable and have to be replaced after a battle. We will be making many of the turret levels cheaper and faster to research though.
Improve UI – Switch menus from a horizontal to a vertical layout, and then enable “onmouseover” scrollingOctober 17th, 2019 (added to tracker)We are not currently positioned for a complete UI overhaul. We are internally discussing the long-term future plans for Gundar, and will probably discuss it further in a future dev blog.

Already Implemented

Issue / SuggestionDate UpdatedStatus / Battlehouse Response
