New Anti-Tank Mine Levels and Balance Update – February 15 Patch Notes

An MRAP vehicle gets blasted in a U.S. military test

Following on the previous improvements to anti-infantry mines in Thunder Run and Days of Valor, the following new changes take effect today:

Anti-Armor Mine Updates

  • Anti-Armor mines can now be upgraded to Level 19 for increased damage and splash range.
    • L19 mines are capable of destroying any BRDM-3 or low-level M1 Abrams tanks in one hit!
  • Production of Anti-Armor mines is now 20-30% faster at all levels.
  • However, to balance the faster production time, Anti-Armor mines now do 20-30% less damage when they explode.

More patches are likely in the future as the landmine design work continues.

TR: Level 4 Alpha and Bravo Leaders Update – February 7 Patch Notes

New today in Thunder Run:

Two updates have been applied to the new Level 4 Alpha and Bravo leader items:

  • Level 4 Alpha leaders no longer lose 1x Elite Rifleman out of their security team after completing the entire Level 4 Alpha set. This means your security teams only get stronger when you collect all the Level 4 Alpha leaders.
  • A bug was fixed where the Store would sometimes lock Level 1 leader purchases with a “Maximum number obtained” error even if you had not finished training a Level 4 leader yet.

To review, security teams from Level 4 leaders deploy as soon as enemies approach a protected building. If the attacker retreats, the security team automatically returns back inside the building.

This update means that your base will be better protected once your leaders are upgraded to Level 4.

To get started upgrading your leaders, check out the complete guide to high-level leaders on the Battlehouse forums.

New Levels for CPT Savage – February 2 Patch Notes

New this week in Thunder Run and Days of Valor:

TOC Leader Updates

CPT Savage, the TOC Leader focused on battle tactics, can now be upgraded to Level 48 in your Leader Barracks.

  • Level 48 specialization bonuses range up to 22.8% for your units or turret weapons, depending on which of the random specializations of CPT Savage you possess:
    • Offense Tactics: Up to +22.8% to unit weapon DPS and damage resistance
    • Defense Tactics: Up to +22.8% to turret weapon DPS and damage resistance

To acquire CPT Savage, start by hiring LT Savage in the Store, and use your Leader Barracks to level him up. Once LT Savage reaches Level 21, he promotes to CPT and randomly gains one of the two specializations named above.

TR: New Blast Shield Technology – February 1 Patch Notes

New this week in Thunder Run:

Blast Defense Upgrades

All blueprint-based units now feature an upgradable Blast Shield that reduces damage from most splash weapons, including Mortar Emplacements and units like the TOS-1A.

To get started, open the Research menu for any blueprint-based unit, and upgrade the Blast Shield stat.

This new research requires Hardware and maxes out at 7% damage reduction (with more levels planned for the future).

To see exactly which weapons this new Blast Shield protects you against, check for the “Blast” icon under “Weapon Type” on unit and turret Upgrade menus.

This icon means that the unit or turret deals “Blast” damage and is therefore affected by your upgraded Blast Shields.

TR: Alpha and Bravo “Eager” Security Teams – January 27 Patch Notes

New this week in Thunder Run:

Security teams from Level 4 leaders deploy as soon as enemies approach a protected building. If the attacker retreats, the security team automatically returns back inside the building.

This update means that your base will be better protected once your leaders are upgraded to Level 4.

This week, two new Level 4 teams are available:

  • Alpha Force security teams for training and storage buildings, and
  • Bravo Force Turret Emplacement security teams

To get started upgrading your leaders, check out the complete guide to high-level leaders on the Battlehouse forums.
