Patch Notes: Thunder Run

New this week in Thunder Run and Days of Valor:

Got extra ONP that you can’t spend this week?

After a successful test run in DoV, the option to convert ONP into Hardware in the Event Prizes Store returns in both games.

Just look for the “Hardware” category at the far right-hand side of Event Prizes:

The conversion rate is 2 Hardware per ONP, which is the same rate you get from Obsolete ONP after the event week is over. (As before, after the end of this event, any ONP in your Warehouse will automatically convert into Obsolete ONP, which can still be traded in for Hardware at the 2:1 rate).

Landmine Upgrades

The following new upgrades are now available:

• Weapons Lab now upgrades to Level 14
• Weapons Factory now upgrades to Level 14
• Anti-Armor Mine now upgrades to Level 16
  • Damage: 16,000 / Splash Range: 390
• Anti-Air Mine now upgrades to Level 16
  • Damage: 475 / Splash Range: 430

Technical Updates

• Fixed a rare glitch that could cause daily login rewards to reset incorrectly.
• DoV: Level 3 Security Teams that trigger when enemy units approach a building will now also be triggered if the protected building takes damage. This means the security team is guaranteed to deploy even if the attacker damages the building from long range.

Turret Blueprint Sale

• This week only, the following turret blueprints for Level 11-12 are on sale for 50% less ONP in the Event Prizes store:

Unit Improvements

• The following units now have 10% greater HP at all levels:

Field Repair Kit Fixed

(This fix was applied to Days of Valor last week, and takes effect in Thunder Run today:)

The Field Repair Kit item can now resurrect units destroyed in the current battle on the Multiplayer Map. Previously, this item had a bug where it could only resurrect units destroyed in Single Player battles.

As before, two intended limitations still apply to the Field Repair Kit: first, it does not work during battles that take place at your own home base, and second, it does not apply to reinforcement units donated by Clanmates.

• The Hardware Prizes Store is now offering Level 11-12 blueprints for the basic turret weapons:

• As a reminder, any left-over ONP from last week’s event can be traded in for Hardware starting Saturday, August 5 at 1700 GMT and ending Thursday, August 10 at 1700 GMT. Check your inventory for “Obsolete Ops Needs Points” on Saturday after 1700.

Turret Emplacement Improvement

• The Turret Emplacement now gains 5,000 HP per level above Level 11, up from 4,000 HP previously. This raises maximum HP at Level 18 from 42,000 to 49,000.

Elite Turret Level 24 Upgrades

• The following advanced turret weapons can now be upgraded to Level 24 using new blueprints from the Event Prizes store:
  • FASCAM
  • C-RAM
  • HEL Laser
  • M45 Quadmount
  • Artillery

ONP Unit Improvements

• The Elite Rifleman, BMP-1 now have 20% greater HP at all levels.
  • This is in addition to the increases of 20% HP each unit received in the June 29 and July 13 updates.
• (Thunder Run only): The MQ-8B also gains 20% greater HP at all levels
  • DoV’s version of this unit already has boosted HP

Hardware TOC Allocation

• In Single-Player AI bases and AI-controlled bases on the Map, now 40% of available Hardware loot will come from destroying the TOC. Destroying Hardware Depots alone will yield only 60% of the total Hardware in the base.
• In addition, a bug was fixed that previously caused AI bases to shift less than the intended amount of loot from Hardware Depots into the TOC. The new 40% assignment should apply in all cases now, even on second and following attacks against the same base.

(Thunder Run only) Non-Map Matchmaking Improved

• A bug has been fixed in the match-making system used for Thunder Run’s “Non-map” regions. This fix makes it more likely that players looking for a Multiplayer opponent will be able to find one, instead of being told there is nobody to fight.

New this week in Thunder Run and Days of Valor:

Unit Stat Upgrades

• The Elite OH-58 and Elite Rifleman now feature individually-upgradable Health and Damage stats, similar to other elite units.
• All Infantry with upgradable Health and Damage stats can now have those stats upgraded to Level 6, for a +20% bonus above the base strength.
  • These Level 6 stat upgrades require Unit Stat Blueprints, available for ONP in a new section of the Event Prizes store.

Other Unit Improvements

• The Elite Rifleman, BMP-1, and MQ-8B now have 10% greater HP at all levels.
  • This is in addition to the 10% HP already added to these units in the June 29 update.
• The Elite BMP-1 now has 50-80% greater HP at all levels.
• The BMP-1 now features stronger security teams at Level 10 and above:
  • Level 10: Combat Engineer added to the security team
  • Levels 13-15: Sapper is now the security team, instead of Combat Engineer
• (Thunder Run only): The Elite MQ-8B gains 30-50% greater HP at all levels (now matching this unit’s current stats in DoV).
